We are honored to offer The Essential Candle in one curated collection to recognize a great American artist.
The De Luxe Show was an art exhibition held from August to September 1971 at the DeLuxe Theater in Houston's fifth ward. The mission was to bring contemporary art into a low-income, predominantly Black communities.
The exhibit was organized by an African American artist. Read about him here.
The De Luxe Show was one of the first racially integrated art exhibitions in the United States. It featured some of the most acclaimed artists of the era as well as several emerging artists who later became widely recognized.
Our De Luxe Collection includes four, 12 ounce Essential Candles in the following fragrance blends:
Irabella Suede
A gorgeously complex fragrance blend leading with rose water, saffron and violet petals. Bourbon vanilla, woodland vetiver and palo santo captivate the senses while base notes of full-grain leather, dark woods and cashmere musk deliver a truly natural and luxe aroma.
Irabella Suede begins with beautiful notes of rose tincture, La Mancha saffron and violet. Smoked palo santo supports warm, earthy, ambrosial notes of bourbon vanilla and woodland vetiver. Resting on a luxe base of cashmere musk, rich full-grain leather and ebony woods.
Le Nouveau
Le Nouveau is a complex, modern fragrance. Adored by women and men for it alluring appeal.
A luxe fragrance blend gives way to powder, ambrette and resinous oud with a heart of tolu balsam, aromatic vetiver, and tonka makes way for a base of levant cotton and amyris.
The blend begins with top notes of ambrette and powder as it gives way to a heart of resinous oud, balsam and vetiver. Notes of cotton, musk, and tonka make up the base of this intriguing fragrance.
Mahogany Amber
Mahogany Amber wraps you in a warm blanket of earthy woods and amber.
Appealing to both masculine and feminine sensibilities, this blend adds a refined spirit to any space.
Notes of creamy sandalwood, Monoi de Tahiti and tonka gives way to the warm aroma of amber musk, cardamom and myrrh. Enhanced by natural woody notes of mahogany and cedarwood
Nobel Rae
A sophisticated fragrance blend of rich leather, smoked brandy and crimson saffron. Golden amber, earthy patchouli and fragrant incense add complexity while notes of tobacco leaves intensify warm vanilla to bolster the entire ensemble.
Distinct and sensual, Nobel Rae embodies the warm and luxurious aroma of fine leather. Leather, vintage brandy and saffron lend to earthy, slightly sweet patchouli. Soft and gentle notes of warm amber are layered on fragrant incense, all resting on a rich base of tobacco and vanilla.

Always burn candle within sight, never leave unattended. Keep candle away from drafts, vents and flammable objects.
Keep candle away from children and pets. Never touch container while candle is burning, it will be hot.
Never extinguish wicks by placing wooden lid on top of the candle. Do not attempt to trim wicks while candle is burning.

Keep candle free of any foreign materials including matches and wick trimmings.
Trim wick to 1/8" before relighting.
Only burn candle on a level, fire resistant surface.
For optimal performance, allow candle to burn until melted wax reaches all sides of the vessel.
Do not burn candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
Discontinue use when 1/2" of wax remains.

Expertly blended, cruelty-free, non-toxic, paraben-free, phthalate-free fragrance oil and essential oil.
Our wicks are constructed of natural fibers and primed using botanical wax.
Assembled in a Lovela + Company handcrafted, reusable candle vessel.

From May 1st through September 30th, we only ship products on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday during the week.
This limits the time that your order is stored (over the weekend) in non-air conditioned facilities. If you place your order Wednesday morning, it may not leave our studio until the following Monday depending on our order volume.
This is a necessary step to maintain the quality and integrity of your order. Kindly plan for additional fulfillment time.

Candle Refill Instructions
Candle Refill (made exclusively for Lovela + Company Handcrafted Tula 12-oz and 22-oz Candle Vessel)
Disclaimer: Before using read and follow candle refill instructions. Never burn candle refill before placing it in a Lovela + Company Candle Vessel. Never reuse candle vessel with a candle refill more than two additional times after initial purchase of the candle vessel. Wash hands with soap and water after handling candle refill.
-Use pliers to very gently and carefully remove both metal wick tabs (along with the round wick stickers) that are adhered to the bottom of used candle vessel.
-Gently wipe out all remaining candle wax and residue on the inside of the candle vessel.
-A cloth with warm soapy water can be used to completely and effectively remove all wax residue from the inside of the vessel.
-Use a dry cloth to wipe inside of candle vessel to ensure it is completely dry and free of wax residue.
Important Note: Candle vessel is not food safe, dishwasher safe, oven safe or microwave safe. Do not submerge candle vessel in water.
-Read Safety Label on the bottom of the candle refill.
-Remove all wrapping from candle refill.
-Located on the bottom of the candle refill, remove the round wax paper from each metal wick tab to reveal wick sticker.
-Turn candle refill over to the wick side (both wicks facing up).
-Gently slide the candle refill down into the candle vessel.
-Gently press down on the surface or top of candle refill thus making sure the candle refill is resting on the bottom of the candle vessel. This will also ensure that both wicks securely adhere to the bottom of the candle vessel.
-Light pre-trimmed wicks.
